UV-C is very effective. When exposed, organisms absorb UV-C light, which causes the cell walls to rupture. When cells rupture they can no longer replicate, meaning they can no longer infect.

The Swift disinfects in just 15 seconds, killing dangerous pathogens like the common cold, MRSA, influenza and human coronavirus.

General purpose disinfection is described as a germicide intended to process non-critical medical devices and equipment surfaces. Germicide is an agent that kills germs, like pathogenic microorganisms.

The lamps have a lifespan of 4,000 cycles.
